The Women’s March on Washington was a historic and inspiring event that will never be forgotten by all who attended.  Joy and I were happy to be a part of that massive movement multitude.

Women’s March Packs DC

Hundreds of thousands of people attended the Women’s March on Washington on January 21, 2017, Millions more attended simultaneous rallies across America and around the world to voice opposition to the policies of the Trump/Pence administration. Marchers in the nation’s capital thronged past such DC landmarks as the Capitol Building, the Washington Monument, the new black history museum, and the Old Post Office, which is now a Trump hotel. The march bristled with signs and protest placards for a wide variety of causes. Some signs were serious, some were humorous, some were ribald, but the placards showed  the cleverness and creativity of  their makers.  Joy and I traveled to the massive march on one of four buses that went to the event from Athens GA.
